Like all MMORPG, Dark Age of Camelot requires player to play online and lets player to interact with other players from all over the world. Players from any realm are the definite enemies and are opened to being attacked, with some having some restrictions about being attack. Some enemies need the consent of common players. Another similarity with the usual MMORPG is the technique in playing the game. The use of the keyboard together with the mouse in clicking the target and hitting macros to break skills of the opponents. Unlike other MMORPG wherein enemies are computer-controlled monsters, players have to deal and fight with other players, which makes the game really exciting.

Setting is in the Kingdom of Albion directly occurring after the death of King Arthur. The kingdom was in complete chaos, peace is nowhere and dark forces are obviously threatening and causing great havoc in the kingdom entirety.

The sound effects specially those of water and rain were moving and imposes a true-to-life effect, it makes the player feel like really experiencing the rain. Though sometimes, character animation turns a little bit jerky, overall it doesn’t bring about negative result with regards to the graphics.
